Small accident at Grong Grong, not many injured

Day 54 - The Royal Hotel at Grong Grong. If you want to sound like a local you should be saying 'Grongy' not 'Grong Grong' You can camp for free at the rear of the Royal Hotel and as I was in the need of few cold draught beers to slake my thirst I took advantage of the offer. The publicans wife was being visited by her sisters, it was a bit difficult telling one from the other, especially as I attended more and more to my thirst.

It must have been about 8.30 when someone noticed lots of stationery traffic on the Newell Highway, just across the railway tracks. Must be an accident, someone said, so the sisters set of to investigate. The rest of us continued to watch the Rugby Union test. News eventually arrived that a B-Double had rolled on the corner, which is fair dinkum right angle turn but it is clearly sign posted. Seems this is happens on a semi regular basis enabling the publican to make a little money on the side spotting for a towing company. Just as an aside the driver escaped with minor injuries.

Moved onto West Wyalong, Lake Cargelligo, nothing much to report, but stayed at a great little camp site at the Lake Cargelligo weir, picture below.
