Big things in Australia

Day 106 - Mildura. Wikipedia helpfully informs us that in Australia "big things have become something of a cult phenomenon, and are sometimes used as an excuse for a road trip, where many or all Big Things are visited and used as a backdrop to a group photograph. Many of the big things are considered works of folk art and have been heritage-listed." I have seen a few of them in my travels have mostly been unimpressed, the "Big Banana" is something of a misnomer, it would be better called the "Slightly Large Banana".
This kinda got me thinking, what about the little things in Australia? They just seem to be ignored. So at great expense, some minor inconvenience, despite soaring temperatures into the 40's and considerable personal risk I bring you Mount Wycheproof. It is Australia's smallest mountain, it towers over the Mallee town of Wycheproof. Rising 148 metres above sea level or 43 metres above the surrounding plain it is the smallest officially registered mountain in the world. The photo to the left shows the view of Mount Wycheproof from the plain; the other photos are of the stunning views that can be had from the summit.
