Under No Mans Orders

Day 197 - Culcairn. Feast your eyes on the Murray Cod to the left. I caught this on the Edwards River and it is quite possibly the smallest Murray Cod ever caught. They have be at least 60cm to be legal, this one was maybe 20cm, still not bad for my first effort, you have to start somewhere.
Played in the competition at Tocumwal GC on Wednesday and through a combination of skill, determination and a little luck I was able to record 38 points. When I left I was leading B grade. The even better news is that I am no longer anchored at 17.1, through clever manipulation of my score my new handicap is 16.6, so I get to stay on 17 and have no anchor, how good is that.
Australian cricket plunged to new lows this week, they are in crisis, blah, blah, blah. I think the whole thing was best summed up by the following letter to the Sydney Morning Herald :-
"Cricket management must be run professionally (''Watson wastes no time in hitting out'', March 13). Were each of the four cricketers dismissed from playing the next Test told that if they did not fill out the form requested of them they would be dropped from the Test?
If they were not given warnings in writing in respect of that and other previous breaches of ''the code of conduct'' imposed by the manager and/or coach, then the manager or coach should be sacked. Young cricketers as professional employees need certainty."
