The bride who entered the church on the arm of her father wore a gown of white tulle over taffeta featuring appliqued lace true-lovers knots. The bodice featured a square neck and puffed sleeves and buttoned down the back to the waistline.

The skirt of the gown was softly trained from a bustle. A coronet of orange blossoms held the tulle veil, and the bride carried a shower bouquet of white frangipanl, tuber roses and dahlias.

The bride's sister Irene and Berna Gallagher were with bridesmaids, with Joan the bride's youngest sister as flower girl.

The attendants were frocked alike in Dolly Vardon styled frocks of lemon printed with ??? and carried boquets of tiger lillies and lemon rosebuds.

The best man was Mr Vic Innes, the brides brother, and Mr Ron Mackay, the groom's brother was groomsman.

The reception was held at Rendezvous, where the 65 guests were received by the bride's mother Mrs Innes, who wore a sky blue crepe frock with black accessories and a shoulder spray of pink roses.

Mrs Innes was assisted by the groom's mother, Mrs Mackav, who chose a suit of bottle green silk crepe with black accessories and a shoulder spray of white frangipani. For travelling, the bride chose a green crepe frock appliqued with black lace roses, with which she wore black accessories.

The couple are spending their honeymoon in Adelaide and while there will attend the Test cricket. The future home of the couple will be in Mildura.
