The annuual meeting of the committee of the Merbein Cirl Guides as held in the Eureka Cafe, Merbein, on Friday afternoon last. Mrs. M. O. Gallacher presiding over an excellent attendance of district ladies. The annual report, and balance sheet disclosed a satisfactory position.: It as decided to hold a tennis afternoon at the A.N.A. courts on Saturday. September 22. and a children's frolic towards the end of the month. Office-bearors were elected a:s follow: President, Mrs. M. O. CaUacher: Vice-presidents, Mesdames W. A. R. Chiselett and E. S. Moulsdale: secretary, Mrs. A. W. Hayles: treasurer, Mrs. A. Purton; committee, Mesdames F. McSwain, H Flenley, H. A. Morris, A. W. Tyers. P. Alexander, W. Brown, F. Goiiinou and A. Pomeroy.
